Do I need any photography experience?

No. The course is built for beginners and self-taught photographers who have been shooting on auto. You start with the fundamentals and build up to the full exposure triangle, composition and advanced camera controls.

What camera do I need?

Any DSLR or mirrorless camera with a manual (M) mode: Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm or another brand. You don't need the newest or most expensive model.

How long do I have access?

Once you enroll, the course is yours for as long as it's offered, whether you paid in full or in 3 payments. Learn at your own pace, with no deadlines. Your progress and quiz scores are saved, and your certificate stays valid permanently once it's issued.

How do I pass and get my certificate?

Score an average of 80% or higher across the module assessments. There's no limit on attempts. Once you reach 80%, your EltonBP Photography Foundations Certificate of Completion is issued to your account automatically.

What does the certificate unlock?

It's required to register for the hands-on field workshops in Curaçao and for the EltonBP Intermediate Professional Course (Studio Lighting & Workflow). Everyone arrives at a workshop with the same foundation, so the time goes to shooting, not re-teaching basics. The certificate is valid permanently.

Do members get a discount?

Yes. Silver Club members ($12/month or $120/year) save 5% and Gold Club members ($20/month or $200/year) save 10%. Your discount code is available inside your membership area.

Can I get a refund?

No experience is required. The EltonBP Photography Foundations Course is built from the ground up for beginners and self-taught photographers who have been shooting on auto mode. You start with the fundamentals — the history of photography, how a camera works, and how light behaves — before progressing through the full exposure triangle, composition principles, and advanced camera controls. By the end, you will be shooting with complete manual confidence.
Any DSLR or mirrorless camera with a manual mode (M) setting will work. The course covers aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and metering — controls found on virtually all interchangeable-lens cameras regardless of brand (Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and others). You do not need the latest or most expensive model. If your camera lets you leave auto mode, you have everything you need.
Course access is active for as long as your membership remains active, plus a grace period after cancellation to let you complete any work in progress:

A cumulative average score of 80% or higher across all module assessments is required to pass the course and graduate. Each lesson includes a Knowledge Check or Quiz at the end of the video demonstration. Upon meeting the 80% threshold, your verified EltonBP Photography Foundations Certificate of Completion is automatically generated and issued to your account. There is no limit on the number of assessment attempts within your active access period.
The EltonBP Photography Foundations Certificate of Completion is your key to the next level.
